 As
part of our commitment to proclaim the Gospel through social
action, “The Food for the Needy” project was inaugurated on 1st
September 2006, under the stewardship of Rev. Viju Varkey
George.
The Peroorkada Government Hospital was selected as the venue
for the project. With the concurrence of the Hospital
Development Committee, it was decided to distribute free lunch
daily (except Sundays) to 100 poor patients of the Hospital. The
project, which has continued without a break since its
inauguration, is financed entirely by donations from our
members. |
