The Fellowship of the Doctors of the Church was inaugurated on
16th October 2005 with a view to bring together Doctors and
others working in the medical field to provide medical
facilities not only to the members of our Church but also to the
public in the locality.
The Forum organizes medical camps at our outstations and
churches in the periphery. At the camps, blood analysis, blood
grouping, diabetics detection, monitoring of blood pressure and
investigations are carried out. Presentations by experts are
arranged on subjects like diet, cardiac problems, oral cancers,
emerging fevers or relevant issues. The Medical Forum and the
Tamil worshipping community combined with Vasan Eye Care Centre
to hold an eye camp as part of the Sesquicentennial
celebrations. The camp was attended by a large number of
patients. The Forum organised a medical camp at
Lenin Nagar, Palayam.
The Medical Forum aspires to broaden its coverage in the city
and its periphery by coordinating the services of Doctors,
Medical Students, Nurses, Nursing Students, Medical Laboratory
Staff and Paramedical Staff who are members of the Church. |
